About Us
Misson Statement
The main purpose of the libraries is to support the academic pursuits of all students and faculty through the provision of quality service, instruction and the timely acquisition of resources pertinent to the overall college curriculum in accordance with the mission, values, and goals of the College.
About the St. Joseph's College Libraries
The Callahan Library, named in memory of Sister Virginia Therese Callahan, the first Vice–President and Dean of the Suffolk Campus, opened in the Fall of 1989.
The McEntegart library opened in 1916, when St. Joseph's College was founded. In 1964, the collection was moved to a new building, which was named after the Bishop of Brooklyn, Bryan McEntegart, a benefactor of the college.
Current holdings include books, journals, videos, DVDs, audiotapes, etc. A curriculum collection, relevant to teaching, is maintained and updated on a regular basis.
Patrons have access to the Internet and numerous online academic databases. A fully automated library system, Endeavor, ensures the efficient retrieval and management of all library resources.
